Junior Girls

The table below highlights the key events that Junior Women should target on the Road & Track in 2005.

12 June	Jo Bruton RR Series	Aughton, Lancashire
18 June	National Track Omnium Series	Welwyn, Hertfordshire
25 June	National Road Race Champs	Terrington, North Yorkshire

Performances in the above events will be used to draw up a long list of riders who may be considered for Junior Worlds selection. The selection panel will be looking for 100% commitment and an aggressive attitude within these events.

Long listed riders will then be required to perform Track based assessments and fitness testing in Newport in July (4th –8th).

Selected riders

Following selection, those riders will then follow a programme of racing and training directed by the National Coach. The preparation programme will include:

The National Omnium series event in Cardiff (9th July)
European Track Championships (20th July)
Jo Bruton RR Series Goodwood (31st July)
Track specialisation July 28th – August 4th
Travel to Worlds August 5th.
Junior Worlds 7th –14th (track and road competition period)
